I am try to create that returs sum for the week of the month I am reporting in.

Is there any way to create a running total to picK up the totals of students and researchers time by week
For example: The month is february and I would like the format to look like this:


Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4
(Totals) (Totals) (Totals) (Totals)

Students
Researchers

Have you tried using the Create Running Total Field Dialog. This creates a field that you can then just place on the report. You can create one for Teachers and another for Researchers.
 
I have created the running totals but I want to limit by the week. Where does this go in the running total formula?
 
Another option you could choose the field containing the students and researchers in the group by dialog then choose Options and select the date field and change to by week.
 
It looks like you want a crosstab to me.. with date by week as your column and students/reaserchers as the rows..

That is what I ended up doing for the majority of the report. As for the running totals I did the DatePart function for weeks, months and years on the server to break out the information for the running totals I needed.
