I am new to an inherited Novell Net

a full distinguished name
starts with a dot (.)
then the name of the person, container it sits in and so up the tree, separated by dots. (don't put one at the end!)
so, e.g. john works for sales in company x
the distinguished login name would be :
.john.sales.x
as simple as that.
