Everytime I convert a PageMaker file to InDesign I get font tracking problems. Is there anyway to fix this without having to go through the entire document and fix each problem individually?
If you did a lot of individual settings for tracking certain lines, etc, it can be a problem. If you can apply changes to the whole document or text boxes, etc. you can create either a paragraph or character style - Type Menu/Character or Paragraph style - and apply it accordingly.
I don't know about Pagemaker but it might work like Quark did. When I would convert by opening it directly lots of settings like superscript would get out of whack. I'd take the newly converted InDesign document and paste or drag it into a brand new InDesign document...everything would go to how it was supposed to look.
It's because PageMaker uses that very bad option for tracking (loose, tight
very tight) etc instead of a number value it also does it with keylines as well.
