I am having to resort to SendKeys to communicate with a piece of phone software, the idea being to send a message string from a table within Access as an SMS message.

What command to I need to switch from Access to the phone software which is already open in the background, so i can paste in the info?

I think its AppActivate Shell(name of the app). Check out the help on AppActivate and you should find it.
