but when i took a report for a range, the main report comes perfectly, but each sub report contains the hole result of the given range for each main report.

in my sub report i have the [range of clientid (ie from cliendid and to ClientId] , range of bookingdate (From Bookingdate and Tobookingdate) and statementdate(nothing but Tobookingdate but it s from another table.)

but all the above three fields are available in main report also so, how to link or what are the fields to be link to get sub report data correctly

thanks for condisdering me

Hi there satheesh. First off, you should have asked this question in Main or in Formulas -- this isn't a Crystal Enteprise question...

If you take a look at the FAQ called "How do I pass date parameters to sub reports and use them in the selection criteria?" in Crystal Reports - Main here, it will help you out.

There are also a number of Knowledgebase entries on the Crystal web site that will assist you. Do a KB search for the Keyword "parameter" with Product = Crystal Reports, Category = Report Designer, & Subject = Subreports. 4 or 5 of the KBase articles that are returned will also be helpful.
