Hyperlinks in Microsoft Outlook won't work

In the body of your e-mail did you type something like
followed by at least one space and it didn't change to blue underscored text(hypertext)?

I get the feeling that your hyperlinks do nothing when you click on them, rather then lead you to an incorrect or non-existing page, if so, try this:
Double-click the My Computer icon.
On the View menu, click Folder Options (Microsoft Windows 98) or Options (Microsoft Windows NT), and then click the File Types tab. In Microsoft Windows 2000, click Folder Options on the Tools menu.
In the Registered File Types box, click URL: Hypertext Transfer Protocol . In Windows 2000, click File Types to sort the files alphabetically. The programs that are listed in the Opens With box are the programs with which hyperlinks are currently associated.
If the program in the Opens With box is Iexplore (Microsoft Internet Explorer), click the Edit button.
In the Edit File Type dialog box, be sure that open is listed in the Actions box. If open is not listed, click New , type open in the Action box, and then click OK.
Click open , and then click Edit.
In the Application used to perform action box, you see the following text, including the quotation marks:
"C:\PROGRA~1\INTERN~1\iexplore.exe" %1
(In some cases, the "%1" may have been replaced by something else)
Save these settings, and exit. Then launce Outlook and see if the links launch IE

Easiest way to correct this is to SHIFT + Click on the hyperlink and then when the BROWSE window open locate the .exe file for your browser. joegz

KeyTech. U explained my problem better than I did.
And.....after following your instructions it didn't work yet.
I had "DDE message" checked there so I also unchecked it and then all worked great.
(What is this "DDE"?)
joegz - True u can shift+click the link but it takes more than 1 second so it's better to handle it automatically.

P.s - Now I noticed, that if I have a hyperlink that does not carry the "http"// at the beginning, but is some shortcut (like: "go.to/something" as a url (that redirects to a regular url)) then the link won't work, though it shows as a link. When I mouse over it it shows in status bar a long long string of numbers and letters...
If someone knows how to handke it as well I will be glad, though not urgent.

DDE stands for Dynamic Data Exchange, afraid I cant tell you much more than that!!!

When you are reading the mails, are then in HTML format or Plain Text?? i.e., if it was HTML there would be font styles and colours etc, plain text would be.....well, plain!
