Has anybody tried to embed a hyperlink in a report?? Is this possible?

Since VFP's report is either previewed on screen or printed on paper, how would the hyperlink be usefull?

the reason why I want to include a hyperlink is for the purpose of converting the actual report form into a hypertext itself. I wanted to put a hyperlink that would pull out another report.

madhatter2002,

That is a pretty neat idea actually. So like a report listing customers, the customer's names would be hyperlinks in the preview window and then you could click on them and bring up a report on the customer's account information, or whatever. You aren't going to be able to accomplish this with the stock VFP report previewer... you'll probably need a third party tool like XFRX (there are many others and discussions galore on here about the different reporting tools for VFP), they have a custom preview class you could modify, or you could generate html pages with it from your reports and preview them (sort of anyways) with the webbrowser control or IE...

...mention has been made about PDF documents and you could perhaps go with that solution too, they cerrtainly would give you hyperlink ability.

If you did run the report to a PDF by printing the report to a postscript file and then distilling it to a PDF, you would not create either an internal, (page link), or external link, (web link), within the PDF.
