We have IP Office 500 v5.0 (22)

So right now when Option 1 is pushed in VMPro I have it setup as an assisted transfer to a users extension, assisted so that a recording is played vs the phone ringing.

So if the user does not answer the call, I've set it up so multiple phones ring at once (requested by management).

If the users phone is on BUSY/DND it transfers to a huntgroup which is answered by a couple of other users.

How can I setup the following?
1. If the users in the HuntGroup are set to DND it should transfer right away to another hungtgroup without ringing first.

2. If the users in the HuntGroup are busy on the phone it should transfer right away to another huntgroup without ringing first.

I read the manual trying to figure this out, but couldn't find the right info.

Also I tried doing some test with the assisted transfer Next, No Answer and Busy but those labels are deceiving and dont actually work they it sounds like they should.

Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated.

My first piece of advise is do not use assisted transfer
it ties up the VM port until the call is answered. let the IPO handle its own call routing its what it is there for.

hav a single transfer on the VM pro to a group containing the 1st user
create additional groups and ad them to the overflow group list

in this case i would turn off Queuing the no-answer time out & Voicemail time out can be adjusted to suit the customers requirement.

I do not Have A.D.D. im just easily, Hey look a Squirrel!

I need to route calls based on the conditions I mentioned, which is if the Call is Busy, DND, No Answer I need them routed based on that.

I hae groups and overflow group lists, but I need to get things router based on the status of the user at the phone, and I'm not sure how to do that with just having overflows.

The other thing is, with the assisted transfer the user does not hear any ringing and only and audio message.

I dont want the user to hear ringing while they are being bounced around from groups to person etc.

Route call by call status will do most of that.
Only DND will be treated as busy.

@tlpeter:
Ok I think I tried routing via call status, but it just wasnt working for me. I'll have to revisit it.
