Is there anyway to keep a huntgroup name or tag on the phone screen after it has been answered? I can tag the call with an assisted transfer but once the call is answered the tag disappears. Hunt group names also disappear. Is there anyway to keep any type of tag besides the caller id on the phone once it has been answered?

Thanks in advance

Bill

Not that im aware of.

It will revert to the cli of the caller or the directory entry that matches that.

you could try increasing the avaliable display on DS phones,I don't know what chages so you'll have to try

but
Extended Length Name Display
In some locales, it may be desirable to change the way names are displayed on phones in order to maximize the space available for the called or calling name. There are two hidden controls which can be used to alter the way the IP Office displays calling and called information.

These controls are activated by entering special strings on the Source Numbers tab of the NoUser user. These strings are:

LONGER_NAMES
This setting has the following effects:

On DS phones, the call status display is moved to allow the called/calling name to occupy the complete upper line and if necessary wrap-over to the second line.

For all phone types:

On incoming calls, only the calling name is displayed. This applies even to calls forwarded from another user.

On outgoing calls, only the called name is displayed.

HIDE_CALL_STATE
This settings hides the display of the call state, for example CONN when a call is connected. This option is typically used in conjunction with LONGER_NAMES above to provide additional space for name display.

FYI in 3.0 this used to be the default. The Group name would remain on the display. Since 3.1 it went away.

There is a way but you wont have CLI at all.

Goto extension > Extn > Caller Display typ > Off.

You could just simply use phonemanager. this will show the group name dialled for the duration of the call.

You could also go 1 step further and screen pop a database based on the DDI which would remain open in the back ground, eg. ACT, goldmine or Maximiser. To do this you need Phonemanager Pro.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Avaya/IP400/PhoneManager
New DWord Change name to PopOnDDI
Double-click PopOnDDI, Change Value data to 1 and click OK

Try to use a shortcode like

100
dial ext
xxxS"Name" xxx = extension number

i believe the name stays.....
