Hey everyone,

I am new to the community and to being a phone administrator. I was asked to do phone support by my company and at first it was really easy. I just had to occasionally reset someon'e VM password. But my company has asked me to set up the Auto Attendant.

It took me a little bit, but I pretty much figured it out. My problem is this:

I went to set up some Hunt Groups so when people dial in they have a few options of people they can reach, but everyone that I put in the Hunt Groups has lost the ability to page!

What did I do wrong?

Feature **266344 -> Input Password -> Get to Hunt Group

Select the first one (HG01) -> Add extensions -> Overflow set to the same extension as the first person on the list so they get the VM if it rings all the way through.

Some of the sets are in multiple Hunt Groups, is that ok?

When the people hit the Page button is says "Incoming Only."

So I removed everyone from ALL hunt groups and reset the Overflows to the Hunt Group number (707, 708, etc) and now when they press the Page button, NOTHING happens.

The secretary also just told me that she tried to transfer someone to a Voice Mail box and it didn't work.

Please help!!

You must likely used the PAGE Button for the Hunt Button.Tell them to use the Feature Codes for Page

Paging still works on other sets that aren't in the Hunt Group.

Is there a way that I can change it so they can be in a Hunt Group and still page?

Ok, so I went in and I was able to manually change the buttons to do page-all.

AND I figured out why the secretary couldn't connect people to voicemail!! It is because she was in a call group and the Voice Mail button on her phone is set to B08 (the same button as Page on everyone else's phones).

I tried to manually change hers back to the Voice Mail feature (Feature 986), but the the system won't let me assign any feature that is in the 9's.

My phone has the same feature, so I went in to see what it was called out as, but it says Ext 238. I am so confused. I told the secretary that she is just going to have to press Feature 986 for now, but I would like it to go back to the way it was set before.

Are you doing Feature *3 then Feature 986 or just 986

I'm logging into the system as the admin, going to Terminals and Sets, selecting the set, User Pref, Buttons, then cycling through to B08, hit the button under the LCD display (says Features) and then it prompts for a feature number. Pressing the 9 key does nothing. So if you don't look and press 986, it actually puts in Feature 86.... which is Music.

I found the right button on my phone with the same Feature and instead of listing a Feature name, number, or internal ext number it just says "..." Three dots.

Ok, I see what you mean. Go to the actually set and program it. I did that and it worked perfectly. Thanks, everyone!
