Not sure this can be done, but let's see......

Scenario:

Call comes in to Hunt Group A. Rings phone in Group A and goes unanswered. Covers to Hunt Group B. Hunt Group B rings phone and it goes unanswered. Covers to destination as set in Hunt Group B cover field.

Question:

We need a coverage path set on Hunt Group B to be followed for the unanswered call in Hunt Group B. We do NOT want the call to follow coverage paths associated with Hunt Group A. Can this be done?

Or, another thought.....

Call comes in to Hunt Group A. Rings phone in Group A and goes unanswered. Phone covers to destination based on phone cover path, NOT Hunt Group A cover path.

When you call Hunt Group A directly and there is no answer, the call would go to the first point of coverage, which would be Hunt Group B; if no answer at Hunt Group B, it should go to the next point of coverage on Hunt Group A's coverage path.

When you call Hunt Group B directly and there is no answer, the call would go to the coverage path assigned to Hunt Group B. Is this what is happening for you?

Yes, but we need it to follow Hunt Group B coverage path on a no answer even when coming from Hunt Group A.

Can you make the second point of coverage on Hunt Group A's coverage path the same as the first point of coverage on Hunt Group B's coverage path?

Unfortunately no.

I've never seen a PBX that could do this, so I'm not very hopeful..... :)

What happens when you make the second point of coverage for Hunt Group A the same as the first point of coverage for Hunt Group B?
Shouldn't this achieve what you want - I think I may be missing something you're trying to do.
