I have gone through a big change. The CEO of the company has a new admin here in my office.(Dallas) Their primary office is in NY. The CEO wants coverage to his NY number along with the admin. The phone hunts to the Executive Receptionist in NY after four rings. Sometimes there it will ring eight times or more to NY before someone picks up the phone. The other issue with this is the CEO wants his NY voicemail and NO voicemail of my switch. The CEO's admin here in my building wants the voicemail of my switch. I have a Nortel Succesion 3.0 in NY they have a Avaya....something . Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The Admin is starting to become a pain in the @#%. Of Course everyone is pointing at the Nortel saying that it is our problem.

Once you foward to NY, it's the NY switch that must provide Vmail.

The only way Vmail can stay on your switch is if you don't FNA out of your switch.

Tell the admin to stick to there job and let you do your's.

might want to carve that in stone.. if you have qsig pri between the two, you can make them talk pretty well, but after your cfxa to the avaya, the avaya would need to cfxa back to a maxp 1 acd ncfw to a number that is a member of the nortels original dialed dn's mb..
here's the call flow, and it's a rig

call 1000 on the nortel, it cfxa'a to 2000 in the avaya, pri or pstn... the avaya gets the call, rna to 3000

3000 is back in the nortel, but it does not ring, phantom or maxp 1 to mail.. station 1000, has 3000 as a member... i would perfer ace's answer

you may have read this but, for cfxa, check your opt's in the cdb.. make them cff not cfo.. cff lets the station ncos control forward ncos, not the inbound trunk or station.. call forward originating can cause problems
