HTML window and f10 Not working??

I'm trying to view my html source for editing and for some reason when I hit f10 or select it on the menu the window never shows???

Has anyone seen this before?
as far as I know I have not changed anything and have been using it for months now
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!! :)
