At home I'm running Apache 2.0.40 on an XP Home box. I rarely open it up to the outside world, and really only do so when I need to work on something at work.
The root folder has no index, only the folders with current projects. I recently password protected my MyPHPAdmin stuff. Now in folder view, the admin folder doesn't show up.
This is a really dumb question, but is this as-designed? When I ran (older) versions of Apache on a Linux box a couple of years ago, the folders showed up, ot at least I thought they did!
Though this probably doesn't matter, I ran into problems with the authentication in the first place--I created the htaccess file and password, but it didn't work, even when restarting Apache. I had to actually reboot, though I don't think typically you have to...
Thanks,
Joe
