HP SureStore 80 DLT Tape Stuck!!

I have a DLT tape that is stuck in the HP SureStore 80 drive that I cannot get out for the life of me. The Drive is flashing all four LED's constantly. When I hit the eject button on the front of the drive it pauses for a sec, then lets out a loud 'buzz' sound for about two seconds. Then the lights start flashing again. The bar to lift up to eject the tape will never unlock. I'm not sure what to do. I've tried restarting the server, tried stopping all the services. Ejecting the tape from Backup Exec, nothing will help. What's the solution?

You have a broken leader. You will need to unscrew the case and there is a small button on the right side that you hold down to release the lever. You can try to replace the leader back on track but make sure the spade in the front of the leader is not broke. If it is then you will have to get the drive replaced.
