hi there,
Im trying to install a hp 930c printer onto my xp system. im connecting the printer through usb.when trying to install the printer i am asked for the usbprint.sys file. Under automatic search on 'my computer' xp cannot find the file. i have checked on the orginal hp disk, as well as the xp installation disk. Ive also downloaded the lastest drivers from hp, but cannot find the file anywhere.

Any ideas where i might find/get the usbprint.sys file?

Thanks

From Microsoft: Windows 2000 and Windows XP. On the basis of the USB printers compatible ID (USB class code Class_07), Setup locates the system-supplied Usbprint.inf and uses it to load Usbprint.sys silently.

I would disconnect the printer and remove any printers from the device manager (and any USB devices also) then restart the computer and follow HP's instructions on installing the printer to the letter. Do it in the order they say (it makes a difference).
