HP LJ Error '50 Service'

I have the same ERROR 50 message and was told that it would be uneconomic to fix. My HP 11P has not been used for several months. Is it worth repairing ?

It depends how much you paid for your printer. The cost of a fuser unit for a HPLJ5N (basic laser jet printer) would be around £110. It is economical if you get use out of the printer, because it the fuser goes again within a year(or so many '000's of prints) it is covered.
