My colors are off a bit, and I can't figure out how to calibrate them. Red outputs as a yellowy/orange. HELP!!!!
Thanks in advance.

Is there toner dust all over the place?

Are the catridges good?

What exactly are you trying to print? Does it look Red on your screen and prints out orangey? If you print it on another color printer, does it come out the way you think it should? Jennifer Sigman

JLSigman, we only have the one color printer, so trying it on another one is out of the question. (Thanks for the idea, though)
I am trying to print text, and it seems the smaller the font, the further off the color goes.
There is quite a bit of toner "under the hood."

Some general color TS...

1) Try print out some pages in the affected color, in this case red and orange.
2) Go into the calibration menu on the printer and run the calibration utility. You will get a page with 4 vertical rows, one for each color. In these rowns there´s values printed in small circles from "-5" in the left to "+5" in the right. Each of these circles has a certain density of color varying from light in the left side of the paper to high in the right with the value "0" in the middle as neutral. Mount the paper on the wall or get somebody to hold it and step 5 - 10" away, and check the values where you think the colors in the circle match the color of the row. Feed back these values to the printer in the calibration menu under each colors density setting. See the user manual for further info on calibrating.
3) Use the little brush from tray2 and clean the density sensor in tray1 where the transfer belt is located. This is actual an important part of the usual USER maintenance. A clean printer is a must for good quality printings.
4) Take out all toner cartridges, and see if any of theese seems to be leaking. If you suspect any of the cartridges to be defective and not just near end of life, get them replaced freely by your usual service provider by bringing them there for exchange.
5) If problem persists, you will probably need service by a qualified CE on site.
