anybody know how this menu with it's dropdowns was created? my client really wants me to get this in his site... and to do it in flash is beyond my ability (for the moment)

here's the site...

please, though i have a brain, treat me like an idiot.

there are a lot of choices one of my personal favorites
is allwebmenus from you can use the trial version to see how easy is to create pretty much that and any other dynamic menu.

Or you can start from scratch and pull your hair out while trying to acomplish all that.

Personally I got better things to do, plus you help the developer community if you buy their product.

good luck

wow... and i seriously mean WOW... why haven't i heard of this before? amazing... i will most likely even pay... thank you so much.

For the record, it is DHTML.

Another alternative is to use hiermenu (free) - search google. hiermenu is good for hacking and populating from a db, creating dynamic menus.

Or...if you go to George Petrov has an amazing extension (for sale) that creates incredible DHTML menus. No doubt, this can be dynamic too...in fact, with a bit of work, can't anything? :p
