Hi all,

This question may be too basic for the guru here but I have a question about Windows 2005 Virtual Server:

1. I have windows 2003 installed
2. I installed Windows 2005 Virtual server on top of 2003 server
3. Now, what do I need to do next so I can have two machine running on the virtual server?

Please give me some directions of how to get everything set up.

I am a little unclear.

thanks million

Well if its anything like vmware's server you need to load the console, and either install an image of the OS you want to load or actually put in the cd and go through the install steps. Probably somewhere in the console is something along the lines of start this virtual machine, and if it is like vmwares products it will load like a normal machine. However I must say, the reason my company went with the free vmserver is because it supported usb smartcards and we needed that for setting up a new license computer machine. Virtual Server 2005 supports usb mouse and keyboards and that is all in that regards.

Go to your start menu, select Programs, Microsoft Virtual Server, Virtual Server Administration Website. Then use the links on the web page that appears to create virtual machines.
