I want to set up a MS Outlook rule that flags messages from people "that are NOT in my address book". The only option that appears to be available is "that ARE in my address book".

It can be done in Outlook Express, is there any way of doing the same in MS Outlook?

Cheers,
Brodie

What version of Outlook? With Outlook 2002, what you seek can be done with 2 rules, but it may not be so easy in earlier versions.

Try this:

1st rule - Sender is in Contacts (address book), stop processing more rules

2nd rule - [no criteria], flag message for action.

When you create the second rule and don't select any criteria, you will be warned that this rule will apply to all messages. Just click OK and finish creating the rule. This works because all rules are processed in order, unless a stop processing... rule is encountered. For people in your address book, no more rules will be processed. For people not in your address book, the second rule will apply flagging the message.

That'll work.

Thanks smah, here's a star.

Cheers,
Brodie
