how to use inotes?

Check with your Notes Admin - iNotes access has to be set up on your Notes domain, on one of your servers.

In our case, you can go all the way to the mailbox, or you can start at the server - you'll get a login prompt, and your iNotes password is maintained separately from your 'regular' client password - again, your Notes Admin should be able to tell you what this is. One big item - you have to use secure http - so use the url format
or Then you'll get a login box for userid and password - whatever the underlying userid of your account is - in the regular notes client, look yourself up in the system address book, click on Details, and you'll see what that is. The matching password depends on what your system admin chose to make it. It might default to the userid, it might be something standard, it might be a unique variable. Your System Admin has to tell you what it is. If you start at the outer server, you may have to login 2 or 3 more times. Once you get to your own mailbox, then bookmark it, and you'll just have one login the next time.

Also tell your admin to use AD or a script to push that shortcut to the all users desktop.....that way nobody else will be asking that question...

Our own Notes Admin team has a web page on our intranet, that explains how to use iNotes from the internet, and also from our intranet. Instructions star with the URL, but include a series of screen captures that show exactly what folks will see as they login. The only part that is unpublished is what to do if coming in from the internet with a modem - iNotes is too much of a bandwidth hog for that - to force use of the older webNotes client, you either have to know a variation in the incoming URL, use any version of Netscape, or IE 4 or earlier, which are not iNotes compatible, and offer you the webnotes interface, which does work acceptably over a modem connection. If the customer forces the webnotes connection at work, they can then note the URL for their mailbox, and use that as the point of entry when coming in with a modem. (or, put a shortcut with that URL on their laptop, if they're travelling with one).
