I split my database, and now the Filter by form is not working. I check the query table and it display the data, but in the form when I select Filter by Form, the fields only have Is Null and Is Not Null. Where is my data?

Thanks in advance

Genie,

Your data is still there. It sounds like you need to set your 'display list' to a higher number. In Access click on 'Tools', 'Options', 'Edit/Find'. In the bottom half of the box you'll see your 'FilterByForm' defaults. Change the 'Don't display lists where more than this number of records read:' box to a number that's high enough that you can see the data in the field you're concerned about.

Good luck.

Thanks lightenup

Actually, did change the value to a higher number, but it still did list my data. I did change the FilterLookup property on my fields to always, and now the data is listed in the fields.

Can you explain the logic why? When the database is not split the default of FilterLookup is database default and the Filter by Form works, but when it is split, with database default in the FilterLookup property, the Filter by Form only shows Is Null and Is Not Null in the fields.

Appreciate your help and many thanks again
