How to upgrade PDM & BIN Over VPN Tunnel

I am trying to upgrade some of our PIX 501 & 506e Firewall which are doing easy vpn back to our corporate firewall.

The problem that I am having is that I cant run the copy tftp flash:image or copy tftp://1.100.x.x/pix634.bin flash:

I get timeout connecting to tftp server because it is trying to connect to the tftp server from the outside interface. My tftp server is located on the inside interface since all traffic is going through the VPN Tunnel. How can I specify to use the inside interface when trying to get to the TFTP server?

Much too risky... and TFTP really doesn't like the internet let alone VPN

If you really can't get there best suggestion is rig a pc on the network with tftp server (tftpd32) and copy all the files there. Then upgrade that way, but I'd suggest making sure you have a dial in or such to the network first just in case.

Yes so I was able to get tftp to start the transfer but like you mentioned it tftp and the internet delay dont work together properly. I times out at differnt percentage rates.
