1)I'm facing problem to insert number starting with 0 like 002, 007...

2)How to insert 3-1 without having it to be changed into 3-Jan?

Before entering the number(s), just use Format Cells - and choose "Text"

Hope this helps.

1) either format your cells as text BEFORE you enter any data in them OR, use a custom format of 000 (if all your numbers are 3 digits)

2)Again, either format as text 1st OR, use a custom format of 0-0 and enter data as 31 (this will show as 3-1) Rgds

I accidently found an instant way to insert those "value" by adding ' in front of the character/number.

Thanks for the answers!

ps: u guys answer FAST!

Be aware that by entering a "number" with a leading apostrophe (that's the name for the ' symbol), you are not really entering a number. You are entering text that only looks like a number.

The difference may not matter now, but sooner or later you will run into situations where the distinction is very important. For example, you may wish to use the VLOOKUP function: it is extremely fussy about the difference.

Just a bit of info to file away in the back of your brain. It will be useful later. Trust me!
