How to turn off document marks in Office XP.

I have a lap top which came with a trial version of Office 2003 installed. I uninstalled it and installed Office XP. I now see two anomalies:

1. It has small 'L' shaped marks at the top left and right corners of the page. They obviously mark the page's outer margins. How are these turned off.

2. It's referring to asian and Korean languages in the options. Where did this come from, and can I get rid of it? It looks like Office 2003 left some debris behind.

Hi,
Don't know if this will help: To get rid of the "L"s, try Tools/Options/View tab/Uncheck Text Boundaries.
Don't know about the language thing though, sorry...
