We used to have an Lucent styled phone. When it failed, we
got a new CICS phone system. We used to have remote
extension (5 miles away) using Ericsson's WebSwitch
and work flawlessly with Lucent phone system over the
VPN/VOIP line. Now, after switching over to the
Norstar, transfer call and call external number are
so hard. Accoring to the user manual, it should be
"flash * 70" then the extension number. But it does
not work. The ATA2 adapter sometimes also drop calls.
I think there are some timing parameters need to be
adjust.
We also need to use modem to dial out to do credit card processing. Modem is behind ATA2 adapter, but can not
be programmed to dial any "feature" kind of button,
or "flash".
Anyone is expert out there like to share some of your
ideas on how to adjust CICS for ATA2 works better and
modem dialing? Thanks in advance!
