when the internet users click a file download link, normally they have options to save/open/cancel. no matter what option they choose, the iis just record as a hit. is there a way to find out what options the users actually clicked? (I only want to record those who clicked save)

Thank you in advance

Quinn

Here is a suggestion to look at, and only a suggestion as I have not attempted this myself.

Since the file is on the NTFS file system you should be able to enable auting on the file and choose to audit only changes to the file.

Hope that worked...
