how to sign up for smartnet?

Hi guys....
First off...thanks for all your help and support on my serial flap problem...it was hardware related..bad port....I'm getting a new 2501 from the reseller....

My question is:
Someone told me to get a "SmartNet" contract from Cisco and for the life of me I can't find a link on their site that actually allows me to sign up and pay the money!!!

Also...one question...I've read about smartnet and Im not clear about one thing....for the quoted price 250.00...is that the price for "each piece" of supported equiptment? or is it for everything you have? I know that might seem like a dumb question but...It sure changes my financial situation...

The price is for each piece of equipment. But, once you have the contract number, you have complete access to TAC and the CCO. Read IOS images. There are licensing docs to read but you get the idea.

I have had Cisco replace a bad WIC card on a 1600 of mine without bothering to ask for a SN or to verify it's actually covered. They seem to be very good about supporting the customer as long you have made at least a miminal effort on your part by getting a contract. Your milage may vary!!!

When I set mine up, I called Cisco directly to get the contract going. I have renewed mine through the web but it's not pretty.. it took another phone call to get it right.
