How to setup a cluster

Hi,

I am new to WebSphere and am having a heck of a time trying to setup something similar to a WebLogic cluster. I tried to setup a server group but cannot get round-robin nor fail-over to work. In WebLogic, I can be connected to one of the cluster servers and if I shut the server I am on, I can be redirected to a working server and session info would persist. In WebSphere I am unable to do this. Would someone be kind enough to walk me through setting up something similar in WebSphere? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Finalise your Application Server build
Right click on it and create Model
Set "Make xxxx a Clone" and "Recursively all instances". Also name your Model.
This is will now create a Clone and also convert your existing Application Server to a clone of that Model.
To create another Clone right click on the model.
Click Create - Clone and select Node.
You now have two Clones. Right click the Model and select Start and this will start the two Clones together.
All WLM enabled Clients will now get an array of proxy stubs which will have details pertaining to each of the Clones. The wlm policy of Round-Robin etc is set through the Advanced Tab of the Model and Failover is automatic.

You have not said what your config is .............. what client, Domain config etc..

If this does not sort your problem then I will need more info!
