Just wondering how to do this?

I went to the following sites and did what it said. Added a new DNS entry in AD set at

text and set up

v=spf1 a -all as it said.

Do I need to do something with my Internet DNS records? Not really sure what else I have to do. Thanks!

Not sure how to edit my own post. In either case, I went the the following sites;

Set it up; and got this explanation;

If you run BIND
Paste this into your zone file:

shoremortgage.com. IN TXT "v=spf1 mx a:64.108.190.116 mx:mail.shoremortgage.com ~all"

When a mail server sends a bounce message, it uses a null MAIL FROM: <>, and a HELO address that's supposed to be its own name. SPF will still operate, but in "degraded mode" by using the HELO domain name instead. Because this wizard can't tell which name your mail server uses in its HELO command, it lists all possible names, so there may be multiple lines shown below. If you know which hostname your mail server uses in its HELO command, you should pick out the appropriate entries and ignore the rest.

So this should also appear in DNS. You may or may not be in charge of the DNS for these entries; if you are, add them.

MAIL.shoremortgage.com. IN TXT "v=spf1 a -all"
mail.shoremortgage.com. IN TXT "v=spf1 a -all"

If this wizard was useful to you,

If you run tinydns (djbdns)

'shoremortgage.com:v=spf1 mx a\07264.108.190.116 mx\072mail.shoremortgage.com ~all:3600
'MAIL.shoremortgage.com:v=spf1 a -all:3600
'mail.shoremortgage.com:v=spf1 a -all:3600

So I did what this said;

But when I test with this site;

I get the following;
SPF lookup of sender use@shoremortgage.com from IP 64.108.190.120:

SPF string used: .

Error: I could not get the SPF string [SPF not supported (the shoremortgage.com TXT record does not exist, negative TTL=6528).].

Result: NONE
Known Issues:
* None.

So it's not working :( What am I missing here?

Here's another bump hoping someone can help me out with this.
