Is it possible to set the properties of a web page when it is the first web page accessed. I know how to do this when calling a web page from another web page with the window.open method and properties in VBScript client and JavaScript. Can the window properties be set when a web page is initially opened from the browser? I want to eliminate the scroll and toolbars and also size the window.

Thanks,

-Brett

Thanks. I should say that the most important aspect of doine this is the ability to have a sized window set in the window properties to ensure the size. And I also want to eliminate the Windows toolbars.

Thanks,

-Brett

You aren't really "supposed to" have this control over the user's browser window. It belongs to the user, not your web site or application.

About all I can think of is to have your initial page open a new window to the page you really want to start with, then have that initial page close the original window. Even then the user ought to see a warning asking them if they want to let this happen. Personally, I'd leave the user's original window alone.

Start closing/resizing my browser windows and I'll never come back to visit your site again. ;-)

I assume you have some good reason for wanting to do this?
