Can any expert tell me how to configure the back up sequence for a schduled job in Backup Exec? That's to say, I want to control the sequence of back up, with those important data backuped firstly. I don't want the backup process on its own sequence. I am using Backup Exec. version 7.3. Thank you, I really appreciate your help.

How to set the backup sequence?

You can't change the sequence in any version apart from 9.0 - it just wasn't part of the software.
I think in 8.6, it will backup the servers like this..
1. The backup Server itself - thats if it is selected for backup.
2. Then from the remote agents - windows network first, then any user defined shares.
I suggest if you want to change the sequence, setup a different backup job for each server.
