I have one of the 25 pin cables going to my computer so I can terminal in for MACS. I have a buffer box that I want to add to capture CDR data and send it over the network. How do I tell the switch where to send the CDR data and which cable to send it over?
Thanks TJ

Do a STAT in LD 37 and you'll see the TTY's that you have now.

POST what you get here.

The port you want to use as a CDR port has USER CTY (Only) against the TTY Setup in LD 17. The Port also needs to be defined in the CDR_DATA (In CDB) in LD 15.

It also has to be added to the turnk routes in LD 16

I have an additional question. When I have the USER for my TTY set to CTY only, I get garbage on the screen. If I add SCH, I get the CDR records as I expected, but I also get information echoed from my maintenance TTY. Is there some special serial port settings needed if it's just CTY?

I'm using 8 N 1. The serial port is set to 19200. Should I slow down the serial port?

Usually most CDR ports I've added for SSC systems are on TTY 2, I usually as a matter of course use pty 2 for 1000Es. Normally set to 9600 8-N-1, I don't think there are any limitations on speed or what port but I've never had a problem with the above.
