I have made an application through which word document is saved in a shared folder on the Server through a client. Now I do not want to openely share this folder on the server and want a $share on this folder. Can someone provide me a hint on how to save a document in a $shared folder in the Server from a client machine.

Thanks

As far as I am aware, the $share folder exists in NT machines, and is for administrative purposes only. It's not accessible from any client. So, it's not "purely shared".

There are at least two ways in making yur aim possible:
1. Through a client - srever application.
2. Let the server do the job. (the file must be placed in an accessible shared folder).

Firstly, it is if you happen to be a member of any of the Admin groups, or if you know the local admin password on tha target machine

Secondly, you can create your own share$ shares, to which you can set any permissions you like

Yup. Agree, strongm.
I assumed that isha wanted to access the the share$ share of the server using any user group.
