How to run a template automatically in Server?

Hi, dear mates,
I will try downloading a mail server(support smtp service) and install in my computer, and try configure it again.
Thank you for your help.

Now I am wondering in coldfusion, is there a possibility that a template in server side can be set to running automatically (say, running 2 times a day)? Because I try to let the template(checkreserve.cfm) running 2 times a day, and if reserved books are available, than the mail server(here is my computer 127.0.0.1) will send email to people, and i want the coldfusion running the template automatically, is it possible? Can you tell me how to do?

Hey Kevin,

You can schedule tasks in the CF administrator or with the <cfschedule> tag although I would recommend using the CF administrator. Just go under &quot;Automated Tasks&quot; and select &quot;scheduled tasks&quot;. In your case, set it to run daily every 12 hours and that should do it.
