Hi everyone:

I have the folowing situations:

I have an e-mail address, let's say me@thedomain.com

I can retrieve my mail through Yahoo's mail with no trouble.

However I'm unable to retrieve it via Outlook Express (Win2000).

I'm in a network where the cable is atached to a router, and the router to the server machine with Microsoft ISA Server.

cable--->cable modem---->router---->Server---->Switch--->My computer.

I have no problem using Internet through this configuration.

I'm kind of lost here, never used ISA before.

Can anyone help?

is it a pop3 mailbox you are accessing on the internet?
No Pain No Gain

I have never used yahoo mail but is it like hotmail, as in it's on the web?

Just trying to determine if you are receiving pop3 mail using one client program on your pc but not another..

what error message do you receive in OE?

No Pain No Gain

Thanks varuna.

I just found the problem. Apparently, my ISP isn't able to resolve its own mail server name. So, instead of using the mail server name mail1.myisp.net I used the DNS IP address from the server machine and that solved the problem. Thanks a lot for your time anyway.
