Hi
I have an old Pentium 3 system I am trying to recycle as a smoothwall firewall box. All installed and working fine.
However, I have noticed that the heatsink & fan is not securely fastened over the cpu - one of the plastic lugs the retaining clips goes over has broken off the plastic cpu seating. Tried supergluing it back but does not hold.
Can anyone suggest a safe method of securing the heatsink/fan in place - I want to mount the box vertically to save space. I assume I'll have to glue it onto the cpu itself somehow, but don't want it to be permanent , just secure, and don't want to hurt the chip.
Many thanks.
