I need to reinstall a SBS 2003 server, witch is a DC and have ISA and Exchange configured.
My big problem, is how to save users mailbox, and then restore to the new server, after I make instalation.

As Neil has suggested, ExMerge will do it for you, but I'd like to better explore what is prompting the need. Seems like we are providing asprin when your head needs stitches.

Why do you need to reinstall the SBS Server. You can reinstall all SBS components without having to wipe out the domain.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Thank you for your answer.
The server is from one of my customers and is in "bad condition": they need 1 replacement disk for a Raid 1 (hardware), AD is not working right. And they want now to extend the business, so they want a good new server.
So, I will reinstall SBS2003, with the same name. The only problem is: HOW TO PUT BACK USERS MAILBOX?
If your advice is still with EXMERGE, maybe you can give me more about this tool.
Thank you

I would recommend that you first replace the disk and get that working. Then do a reinstall of SBS over the top of the existing installation so you don't have to worry about resetting up AD or the mailboxes.

For safety I would use Exmerge to save a copy of the mail. Also if you put the users in Cached mode they will have a second backup on their workstations.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
