Hi all,

I am delivering published application icons to the users' desktops and would like to make sure that the connection to the Citrix farm (and desktop icons) initialize/refresh at login. I can run CPN in a Group Policy Startup Script, but cannot get CPN to refresh it's connection to the farm.

I am trying to avoid having users have to manually refresh Citrix Program Neighborhood in situtations where I have just published a new application and want to have it pushed to the desktop without user intervention; or if a user deletes a desktop icon, it will come back when he logs in again.

Environment:

MetaFrame 1.8 SP3
Windows 2k
Windows 2003 Active Directory
Windows XP Pro workstations
Citrix Full PN client v.7

Has anyone been able to figure out how to do this?

TIA,

Get yourself a copy of "win32clientinifileref.pdf" from support.citrix.com. Ummm..... CTX14753.

Check the setting "PNCacheRefresh" and make sure it's on (default is off) so that the Application set is automatically refreshed. The other thing would be to use the pna client - much neater but this requires an nfuse server.

Cheers
