This is a easy task!First, download IOS software image from , and save it to your pc or notebook's harddisk; Then connect to cisco catalyst 3548 by console port(9600,8,0,1,none),such as microsoft windows HyperTerminal; Then reboot or power on your switch,if it have no ios software image in flash,it can automatic enter "Rom Monitor"mode.Ok,we can copy new ios software image to your switch's flash by use commands as following:"Copy xmodem: Flash:<Filename>",notes that where <Filename> is the name of the file that you downloaded; With HyperTerminal, use the "TRANSFER" -- "SEND FILE" option using the XMODEM protocol. Be sure to start the XMODEM download within 3 seconds; otherwise, the switch will timeout the XMODEM copy. If you have any questions about this prob please visit " " or mail to me!Good luck!
