How to "Ping" the blog notification sites?

I have just setup a RSS feed on a site and I was hoping to get advice on how one would "Ping" sites like:

http://rpc.pingomatic.com/

automatically with ColdFusion when a new artitcle/post was added. This is a popular practice in the blogging community, I am just trying to see how that could be accomplished.

Any Suggestions?

I have no clue what you're talking about or what you're trying to do, however, when i clicked on the link all i got was

XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

that would suggest you would have to either submit a form to it or use cfhttp method = "post"

Thanks for the suggestion of method="post".

If that is true, now i need to find out what info they want "post"ed.

I will keep searching.
