How to pull GPO to client computer

Ok I am pretty new to this so bare with me.

I recently set up a new Windows server 2003. I created a couple test users and put them in OUs. I also created some GPOs and linked them to the OUs I wanted to have those setting for. My problem is, when I log onto the domain from my test client computer, it does not pull down the GPO for the OU they are in. How can I pull the GPO to the client computer from AD?

Thanks for the link porkchopexpress. I figured out the problem. I didn't have the DNS address of the AD server in client machine.

Hi there,
I have got windows server 2003 setup with 3 client computers. I would like to know how to get the GPO from server that i had changed (lock taskbar, force classic menus ect.) over to the client computer so it appys those settings there. can some please help me out here, its been bugging me for a few weeks

On the client open dos promt do gpupdate, this wil pull the gpo from the server to the client.

You can also do an RSOP.msc (on XP only) from the client computer after the gpupdate to see if the Group Policies are being applied to the client. This is useful in finding out if the Group Policy is even applying. Then, if the results are not what you were looking for, then start troubleshooting the policy (the most common mistake, is not enforcing the policy on the OU).

Or gpresult in dos prompt on any client.

Nope none of this works, it doesnt apply any Group Policy, how do i configure the DNS on the clients?

Also the RSOP.msc does not work, it times out before it gets the results.
