Hello.
I am a new to IIS.
I have been asked to publish a file called root.fla on a web-server with IIS4. (I suppose it is a flash-file)
How can I do this?
Regards // Micke
But if infact you do need to do this... My question would be... Do you have direct access to the computer IIS is being hosted on? If so then just copy the file to the directory shared to the web. If you are not able to have direct access, then do you have a ftp link to the computer hosting IIS? And if that is still not the case then do you have any webbased uploading software? If not then... I wish you luck.
More than likely you will have a ftp account setup... You might have to ask your buddy/(or whoever is hosting the site) information about this. But it is infact the easiest way.
The problem is not the access to the server.
The problem is that I can't publish the file as a
"default document".
(Which normally is default.htm or index.htm or something like that.)
As said above the .fla is the project file. You will have to export to a .swf, then the .swf file is embedded into the default HTML document.
To set the the .swf as a default document would need access to the IIS MMC on the server and there you can add the filename to the list of default documents.
Chris.
