I can't remember how to program a callpilot feature into a button. For example 981 to open a mailbox. I can do it locally at the set with F3-F981, but how do you do it in programming mode? When I try to enter a feature code, it ignores the "9" in the 981.

Thanks,
Bernie

feature *3 press the button you want Feature 981 "button programmed

That works directly at the phone, but I'm looking for a way to do it in programming mode. I want to put a voice mail button on every telephone. In programming mode I'm at "Feature code". It will not accept the feature code of "981".

well there you go, (KALA7874) told you how to do it.
it's not to difficult, go to every phone and do what (KALA7874) said to do. or copy one to the other in user prefs or button pro something or another.

OK, so there is no way to program the first phone in programming mode. I guess I'll have to program one at the phone and they copy that one.

Thanks,
Bernie

you could be a tech some day. if you get that one right

Copying button programming will do the trick, but it will copy EVERY button. If you have to label each f981, etc, button, why not just program it while you're there?

If you insist on programming them all before labelling, you could go to each set in T&S/Button programming, and select the button you want on each phone, then enter the feature code there.

You cant program vmail features in programming because you can manipulate the codes on the vmail, therefore the KSU cannot guarantee what you have done as it is a differnt system.

Do one set in person then copy that set.
