Here are the steps:

1. Start the PowerPlay Connect tool.
2. For Database type select MS SSOS ODBO.
3. For Server[:port] type the server name.
4. For Description make sure you have the same description as in the cube.
5. Save the connection in a designated folder.
6. Open the connection via PowerPlay cube.

Hi,
I'm using Cognos Planning - Analyst.
These are the steps I follow:
1. Start the PowerPlay Connect tool.
2. For Database type select Cognos Planning- analyst
3. For Library type the name.
4. For Description make sure you have the same description as in the cube.
5. Save the connection in a designated folder.
6. Open the connection via PowerPlay cube.

Here I'm getting the error like "Cannot initialize the server to access the powercube. " The same error in powerplay windows and the web too.
I can only open the cube as a local cube .
