My firm is planning to purchase 3 Intuity Audix LX’s. Currently we have all our offices using one voice mail system over a DCS connection. The Intuity is located in our Atlanta office. My question is after installing the LX’s in our three offices can we network all 4 voice mail systems? And do we need to purchase additional C-Lan cards or IP media Processor cards to network the voice mail systems? We currently have C-Lan cards in all our PBX’s in our offices.

You can utilize your existing CLAN boards to integrate the Audix systems to each host switch. Since you already have DCS, all your switches have unique node numbers. Each Audix will also need to have a unique machine name and Audix number. Make sure when you purchase the systems, you have the RTU for DCS networking turned on in each box. I believe that the LX comes with TCP/IP networking turned on as a default. The Audix systems will use the same WAN environment as the switches for networking.
