Hi there people... new question...
here's what i have; Meridian 1 version 2111 release 22 issue 46+ that has 3 cabinets installled. cabinet 1 have DTI Cards, meridian mail, and some line and trunk cards, cabinet 2 has line card and cabinet 3 only have 2 line cards (both analog) the cabinets connect using a fiber module that goes from 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3.
and the question. i want to remove the line cards from cabinet 3 and move them to empty slots in cabinet 1 and 2 and finally i want to remove cabinet 3 from the room. how do i do that?
i appreciate as much details as possible.

ld 25

ok. just to clarify. ld 25 then mov... and my questions
>the system ask me wich card and where to?
>this move includes all the TN information associated with the move?
> finally: after moving the 2 cards, can i just shut down that cabinet or i need to do something else?

You will also have to move your pigtail that goes to the MDF or run new jumpers.

probably easiest to unplug them from the bottom of the 3rd cabinet and move them to the new spots.

and what about the empty cabinet? just power off?

Guys... I was about to do the card move and i realized the followng...
> how do i disable the empty cabinet? i just need 2 and the 3 will be removed and stored.
> the cards can be moved while the PABX is on? or i need to do the ld 25 and then shut down and move?

i'll run new jumpers because later i'll have the panel relocated and need to punch down all the cables from the PABX to the panel.

when all cards are moved, shut down the old cabinet. Also, I would not use the mov command with any cards that have ACD on them, best to out the acd, mov the card and then rebuild the acd.

Depending on your environment, all is safe to do during regular hours as long as you let everyone know!

What is this ACD? here's a print out of my extension...
and about the last cabinet... just pull the plug and disconnect the Fiber that goes from the main cabinet to the empty cabinet is OK???? i just want to double and triple check before i start this process...

to disconnect the fiber you'd need to pull the SSC card and that will take down the switch. So you'll want to schedule that, but it will not hurt to let it dangle there for awhile.

Acd, is set that are in a call center. Key 0 would be programmed as:

KEY 00 ACD 2435 0 XXXX MARP

OK... So from what i have no ACD is programmed on the lines... and the Fiber needs to be pulled with the switch off... i can do that late nigth... I hope i'm no naggin' with my questions but... i'll shut down... remove the fiber connected betwee 1 and 3 and turn on the switch... nothing more...
