We have a Netscreen 5xt at one of our remote sites and we are trying to monitor web surfing for that site. We want to modify the default policy to point internet traffic to a proxy server we have at another site...Do we just modify the Any/Any policy or should we modify the actual route in the routing table?

We could touch each persons machines and in Internet Explorer, point each machine to the new proxy server but that is time consuming...Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Not sure it could be done. If you added a route and a policy, this would route PC traffic and simply permit it to the Proxy. But, would it force it? I don't think so. I would send the users a Script in an email that changed the users Proxy Address. I will continue to look around for you though.

Rgds,

John

I did notice an option under the configuration tab for "URL filtering." This is supposed to be used in conjunction with the Websense software for web monitoring but I don't see why we can't point it to our Symantec web monitoring server onsite because it just asks for the server name and port...It might work...Thanks for your response...If you come up with anything else, let me know! Thanks!
