How to match on name in a query

I was given a list of names and the user wants me to match on account name against our DB2 back end. I havent done a name match in ages....whats the best approach.
 
The best approach is to tell us more significant information such as the table and field names.

Do you know how to create a basic query that joins a couple tables?
